GeForce NOW Unveils GDC Updates: 90fps VR, New Games, and Enhanced Discovery
![]()
NVIDIA GeForce NOW is making a significant splash at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, bringing a wave of updates designed to elevate the cloud gaming experience. Gamers can look forward to smoother virtual reality, easier game discovery, broader account integration, and an exciting roster of new titles. These enhancements underscore GeForce NOW's commitment to delivering a premium, accessible gaming platform for everyone.
Next-Level VR and Smarter Game Discovery
One of the standout announcements is a substantial upgrade for virtual reality (VR) streaming. Starting Thursday, March 19, GeForce NOW Ultimate members will experience supported VR devices streaming at a buttery-smooth 90 frames per second (fps), a notable leap from the previous 60 fps. This improvement will enhance responsiveness and immersion across popular devices like Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, and Pico, making virtual worlds feel even more real.
Game discoverability is also getting a major boost. Soon, new in-app labels will appear within GeForce NOW for connected Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+ accounts. This means you'll easily spot games available through your existing subscriptions, streamlining the process of jumping into your favorite titles. Furthermore, account linking is expanding to include GOG, allowing for game library syncing, building on the Gaijin single sign-on announced at CES. These features simplify managing your game collection across various platforms within GeForce NOW.
Expanding Horizons with New Games and Features
The GeForce NOW library continues to grow, welcoming highly anticipated titles. New games joining the cloud include Remedy's action-adventure RPG CONTROL Resonant and Liquid Swords' gritty action brawler Samson: A Tyndalston Story. Gamers can also look forward to Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection making its way to the cloud.
The "Install-to-Play" library is also seeing expansion with select Xbox titles, such as Brutal Legend and Contrast. For fans of a certain iconic battle royale, Fortnite's original adventure, "Save The World," will become free to play for all players starting Thursday, April 16, with pre-registration kicking off on Thursday, March 12. It's important to note this version is not available on mobile devices. These additions mean more options and flexibility for how you experience your favorite games on the platform.
